High-energy dance sets with a ton of variety have made this an extremely popular band. With 5 lead singers, Flipside offers a wider range of music than most bands. Repertoire ranges from Top 40, classic rock, 80s and 90s hits, acoustic favorites, reggae, soul, old school ballads, jazz and ethnic songs.

Configuration

7 pieces. Male lead and female lead vocalists, plus singing saxophone, guitarist/voclaist, keyboard, bass/vocals, drums, and sound engineer. Flipside can add horns a la carte or by 3 piece section. Flipside features fantastic acoustic guitar cocktail and ceremony music options.

Members have also performed on the Tonight Show, MTV, Saturday Night Live and Conan O’Brien.

Track Record

Flipside has been featured in a large front page spread of The Living Art section of The Boston Globe as “The Toast of the Town” and have performed live on Fox-25 Morning News. Flipside has performed at weddings for high profile clients, including Boston Celtics All-Star Ray Allen, Jack & SuzyWelch (CEO of General Electric and noted author) and Elizabeth (The View / Survivor) & Tim (NFL quarterback) Hasselbeck, Tom Finneran (MA speaker of the house). They are one of the only groups to perform live on the field at Boston’s Fenway Park with members of the Red Sox and their wives. They were also the band of choice for fundraisers such as The Steppingstone Foundation‘s “Steppin’ out” gala, Boston Magazine’s “Best Of Boston” party, a Beacon Hill Civic Association Gala, Harvard University’s Fly Club party, American Heart Association’s “Heartball” with President Bill Clinton, the launch party for Boston Common Magazine, Boston Ballet’s 50th Anniversary Gala, Governor Deval Patrick’s 50th Birthday celebration (featuring cellist Yo Yo Ma) as well as TWO of his inaugural balls.
